• First-principles modelling of materials; graphene and other 2D materials; quantum transport; spintronics
Using density-functional-theory-based methods, investigating electronic, magnetic, mechanical, transport and optical properties of various low dimensional systems including carbon nanotubes, graphene, transition-metal-chalcogenides.

• Electron-phonon interactions, theory of polarons, bipolarons, excitons
Investigating Fröhlich polarons and bipolarons in low dimensional systems, exitonic properties and photoluminescence in semiconductors.
