Established the Dynamic Testing and Modelling Laboratory at IZTECH in 2006 with Professor Mustafa Guden. The DTMLab has facilities for high strain rate mechanical/materials testing, such as Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (both tension and compression), Direct Pressure Pulse setup, drop weight tester, gas guns, temperature chambers, high-speed cameras, microscopes, dynamic force, acceleration and velocity sensors with accompanying signal conditioning and high-speed digital data storage equipment. Workstations with finite-element software enable numerical and simulation work. The DTMLab facilitates fundamental and applied research, as well as collaboration with and services to industry.
