Proje yürütücüleri olarak Doç. Dr. Türkan Özbalta, Yrd. Doç. Dr. Şebnem Yücel Young, Öğr. Gör. Virginia Thompson Couch ile Araştırma Görevlileri Sinem Demirel, Yusuf Yıldız, ve Altuğ Kasalı'nın yer aldığı AR 302 Mimari Tasarım stüdyosu, final jürisi, 26 Mayıs Pazartesi günü gerçekleştirildi. Teması "Türk Klasik Müziği Merkezi" tasarımını kapsayan ve arazisi İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi arkası, Konak meydanına komşu bölgede yer alan projede öğrenciler, ikişerli gruplar halinde çalışmışlardır. Proje programı, sergi mekanları, cafe, satış birimleri, eğitim mekanları, kütüphane, kayıt ve prova odaları ile 200 kişilik bir konser salonunu kapsamıştır. Prof. Dr. Gülsüm Baydar, mimar Emre Ulaş ve mimar Serhat Akbay'ın da misafir üye olarak katıldığı jüride öğrenciler, tasarımlarını yine grup olarak sunmuşlardır.

Final Jury of AR 302 Architectural Design Studio

Final jury of AR 302 Architectural Design Studio, which was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Türkan Özbalta, Assist. Prof. Dr. Şebnem Yücel Young, and Ins. Virginia Thompson Couch with the Research Assistants Sinem Demirel, Yusuf Yıldız, and Altuğ Kasalı, was realized on 26 May Monday. Design theme of the project comprised a "Center for Turkish Classical Music," and the site was behind the Izmir Greater Municipality Building and adjacent to Konak Square. Building program consisted of exhibition spaces, cafes, instrumental sales shop, educational spaces, a library, recording and rehersal rooms and a performance hall (200 seats). Students studied during the term as groups composed of two members; and they also presented their projects as groups to the jury with a wide participation by also guest members, Prof. Dr. Gülsüm Baydar, architect Emre Ulaş and architect Serhat Akbay.
